What Does a Communications Architect Do?
If you’ve ever tried to explain what kind of help you actually need with your communications, you probably feel like the words don’t quite exist yet. Consultant sounds too broad, and coach doesn’t cover helping develop a plan. You might think marketing, but that doesn’t address what happens after someone becomes a client. So, I’d like to share what I actually do and why I call myself a communications architect.
Stop Trying to Be Everywhere
I remember sitting down one morning, genuinely overwhelmed. I had a newsletter half-written, a LinkedIn post sitting in drafts and a video idea I kept postponing because I couldn't figure out the setup. None of it was moving because I was trying to do all of it at once. And the irony? The silence that came from trying to do everything felt worse than if I had just picked one thing and started there.

The Structure of Play: Helping Your Business Flourish
Why is it that children can get an idea in their head and just go with it?
If they are using blocks, they don't sit there and think, "What should I build?" They just get started and let it turn into what it's going to be. It's the same with planting a seed in a paper cup or drawing a story—they don't ponder the "ROI" of the idea; they just run with what their brain is telling them.
My Journey to Entrepreneurship
I had a check-up yesterday. It had been a whole year since I walked into the clinic feeling worse than I had ever felt. I had recently left my corporate job. I was burnt out, emotional and unsure of what my next step would be. Definitely not the way you want to go through life, especially when fun is your number one motivator.
